Site progress reported daily, not reconstructed monthly
AI agents for contractors and builders that turn a site engineer's voice note into the daily progress report, follow every material order to the gate and keep subcontractors, drawings and costs in step. They work from WhatsApp on site and your ERP in the office.

01 In short
What does Exyconn build for construction?
AI for construction is a set of agents that collects progress, material, safety and labour updates from site in whatever form they arrive, and turns them into the reports, orders and alerts your project team needs, so engineers spend less time typing and more time on the work. Exyconn designs, builds and runs these agents on WhatsApp for the site, and on your ERP, project schedule and drawing register for the office. Engineers and project managers still approve every quantity, drawing answer and payment.
Why contractors are doing this now
- Every site supervisor already sends photos and voice notes on WhatsApp. The information exists; it just never reaches a report.
- A day lost waiting for steel, a crane or an answer to an RFI pushes everything behind it on the schedule.
- Clients, lenders and inspectors expect safety records that are written on the day, not filled in before an audit.
- Labour and subcontractor gangs move between sites. Knowing who is where tomorrow is a daily phone exercise.
- Margins on fixed-price work are thin. Overruns found at month end are too late to fix.
02 The reality
Where a project team's hours actually go
Ask a project manager what slows a site down and it is rarely the concrete. It is information arriving late.
- C/01
Daily reports typed up at night
Engineers spend the evening turning notebooks and WhatsApp photos into the DPR. When they're too tired, it is skipped and rebuilt from memory before the client meeting.
- C/02
Materials chased by phone
Indents, purchase orders, GRNs and e-way bills sit in different hands. Nobody can say quickly whether the cement for Friday's pour has left the plant.
- C/03
Safety paperwork that lags the work
Toolbox talks, permits for work at height and near-miss reports are filled on paper, if at all, and are hard to find when an inspector or client asks.
- C/04
Subcontractors out of sequence
The plumber arrives before the slab is cured, the painter waits for the electrician. Each gang is coordinated by separate calls from the site.
- C/05
Questions waiting on drawings
Site teams work from revised drawings, specifications and BOQ items spread across email and folders. An RFI can sit with the consultant for days while work stops.
- C/06
Cost overruns found at month end
Actual quantities, labour bills and material consumption are compared with the BOQ and budget only when the RA bill is prepared, after the money is spent.
03 Use cases
Six jobs AI takes off your team's plate
- 01
Daily site reports by voice and photo
Site engineers send a voice note and photos on WhatsApp in any language. The agent turns them into the DPR with progress by activity, manpower and equipment, and files it to the project for sign-off.
- 02
Material procurement and tracking
Raises indents from site requests, follows the purchase order and e-way bill with the supplier, records receipts against the GRN in your ERP and warns the site when stock won't cover the next activity.
- 03
Safety checks and incidents
Runs the daily checklist and toolbox talk record in chat, logs near-misses and incidents with photos and location, and alerts the safety officer at once. Investigations and corrective actions stay with your safety team.
- 04
Subcontractor scheduling
Shares the look-ahead plan from your project schedule with each subcontractor, confirms gangs and start dates, and tells the planner when a delay upstream means a trade should be held back.
- 05
Drawings and RFI answers
Finds the latest revision of a drawing, the specification clause or the BOQ item a site team asks about, and drafts RFIs for anything not covered. Design answers come only from the architect or consultant.
- 06
Cost versus budget
Compares quantities executed, material consumed and labour bills with the BOQ and budget each week, by package and by site, and highlights overruns while they can still be acted on.
04 A day with it running
One day on a G+12 residential tower
Follow a working Tuesday on site. Each moment lights the part of the project the agent is working on.
-
07:30
The toolbox talk is on record
The safety supervisor sends a photo of the morning talk and ticks the scaffold checklist in chat. A loose guard rail on level 9 is logged and the safety officer is alerted.
-
09:45
The electrician is held back a day
Blockwork on level 7 is running late. The agent tells the electrical subcontractor to start conduit work on Thursday instead and updates the look-ahead.
-
12:10
A question about a lintel
The foreman asks which lintel detail applies to the shaft opening. The agent finds it on revision R3 of the structural drawing; a second query on a clash is sent to the consultant as an RFI.
-
15:30
Ready-mix for Thursday, confirmed
The supplier confirms the concrete for the level 8 pour. The truckload of steel arrives, its e-way bill is matched and the GRN is recorded in the ERP.
-
18:20
The DPR writes itself
The site engineer sends a two-minute voice note and twelve photos on the way out. The draft DPR is with the project manager before he leaves the site office.
-
22:00
Costs against the BOQ
This week's reinforcement consumption is running ahead of the BOQ quantity for level 7. The weekly cost note to the project director flags it with the drawings involved.
05 How it connects
Built on the systems you already run
06 By firm
What it looks like for your kind of firm
A few projects, owner close to site
Builders & developers
Most information moves on WhatsApp and Excel. The first win is a daily report and a material tracker that the owner can read without calling each site.
- WhatsApp DPRs from every site
- Material indents, deliveries and stock
- Weekly progress summary for the owner
Many sites, many subcontractors
General & EPC contractors
Here the work is coordination and cost control. Agents link site reporting to the schedule and ERP, keep subcontractors sequenced and compare progress with the BOQ for RA billing.
- Look-ahead schedules shared with subcontractors
- RFI drafting and drawing revision lookup
- Cost versus BOQ by package and site
Roads, pipelines and long linear sites
Infrastructure projects
Work spreads over kilometres and crews rarely see the office. Agents collect chainage-wise progress, equipment logs and safety records from the field and pull them into one picture.
- Chainage-wise progress from voice and photo
- Equipment hours and fuel logs
- Safety and incident records by stretch
07 Rollout
Reporting from site within a month
We begin with one site and the daily report, because every other use case depends on knowing what happened on site today.
-
01 · Week 1
Walk the site and the office
We look at your DPR format, BOQ, purchase flow and schedule, talk to site engineers, and agree what the agent drafts and who approves it.
-
02 · Weeks 2–4
Daily reports on one site
Site engineers start sending voice notes and photos. The project manager reviews every draft DPR in the first weeks.
-
03 · Weeks 5–9
Materials, safety and subcontractors
Material tracking, safety checklists, subcontractor scheduling and drawing lookups are added, then rolled out to more sites.
-
04 · Ongoing
Run and improve
We add new drawings and BOQ revisions as they come, review what site teams asked, and send a monthly report on what the agents handled.

09 FAQ
Questions contractors ask us
Will this replace our site engineers or planners?
No. It does the typing, chasing and searching so engineers and planners spend their time on the work and the decisions. Quantities, drawings, safety findings and payments are always approved by a named person.
Our site teams aren't comfortable with new apps. Will they use it?
They don't need a new app. Site teams use WhatsApp, voice notes and photos as they do today, in Hindi, English or their regional language, and the agent does the structuring.
Which systems does it connect to?
Your ERP or accounting system for purchase and GRNs, your project schedule in Primavera, MS Project or a spreadsheet, and the folders or document control system where drawings live. In the first week we confirm what each one exposes and what the agent can read or write.
Can the AI answer technical questions from site?
It finds what is already in your approved drawings, specifications and BOQ and quotes the revision it used. If the documents don't answer the question, it drafts an RFI for the architect or consultant. It never makes a design or structural call.
How is project and worker data protected?
Data stays in your systems and an environment set up for your firm, with role-based access by project and an audit log of every message. Worker details are handled under India's DPDP Act 2023, or the GDPR where it applies.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the number of sites, users and systems. Most firms start with daily reports on one or two sites. Share your DPR format and we'll send a fixed quote for the first phase.
Next step
Send us one week of site WhatsApp updates
We'll turn them into the DPRs and material alerts an agent would have produced, so you can judge the result on your own project. No obligation.
